1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and RIFT, Bengaluru, India ("we"). They cover the RIFT app and this website. By joining the beta, installing RIFT or using this site, you accept them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Venues that run RIFT for customers do so under a separate written agreement, which wins if the two conflict.
2. Who can use RIFT
You must be 18 or older to join the beta. Under-18s can play only if a parent or guardian installs RIFT, accepts these terms for them and supervises.
3. It's a beta
RIFT is free and unfinished. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may end the beta at any time.
4. Your licence
You may install and use RIFT on your own phones for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:
- share, sell or publish the app file,
- copy, modify or reverse engineer RIFT, except where the law allows,
- run RIFT for paying customers without an agreement with us,
- use RIFT to cheat in competitive games or any game played for money or prizes,
- use RIFT to break the law or harm anyone.
RIFT, its name and logo belong to us. We can withdraw this licence if you break these terms.
5. Play safely
RIFT is played by moving your body, and you're responsible for where and how you play. Read our safety guidance first. Clear your space, hold controller phones firmly, take breaks, stop if you feel unwell, and ask a doctor first if you have a medical condition. Children must play with an adult watching.
6. Accessibility
RIFT uses Android's Accessibility service to tap and swipe in games it supports. It doesn't read the content of other apps. You turn it on yourself and can turn it off any time. See our Privacy policy.
7. Other companies' games
RIFT isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the makers of the games it works with. Their names belong to them.
- A game update can stop RIFT working with that game until we fix it.
- Each game has its own terms, and some may not allow tools that play for you. Following them is up to you. We're not responsible if a game company acts on your account.
- RIFT involves no betting or prizes, and you must not use it for any.
8. Feedback
If you send us ideas or bug reports, we can use them freely to improve RIFT.
9. No warranty
RIFT is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't promise it will work on your phone or with any game, be free of bugs, or always be available.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, like lost data, lost game progress or a banned game account. Our total liability to you is limited to ₹1,000.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer under Indian law. If your misuse of RIFT leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs.
11. Ending
You can stop any time by uninstalling RIFT, and leave the beta by emailing us. We may end your access if you break these terms or when the beta ends.
12. Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date, and email beta players about important ones. Using RIFT after a change means you accept it.
13. Law and disputes
Indian law applies. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your right to use a consumer forum where you live. Please email us first. Most things are quicker to fix that way.
